Generation Citizen (GC) is an innovative, quickly scaling Action Civics education nonprofit that seeks to strengthen our nation's democracy by empowering young people to become engaged and effective citizens. Generation Citizen believes all students have the right to civics education that prepares them to participate in our democracy.  We envision a country of young people working as active and effective citizens to collectively rebuild our American democracy. GC is seeking a passionate and driven individual to support our student in-classroom Participatory Action Research lessons by enhancing and updating our Online Resource Bank (ORB).  The Participatory Action Research Intern will work closely with the RI Program Director for 8-10 hours per week.  Job Expectations: 
  • Update and grow GC’s Online Research Bank based on issue-based class projects. 
  • Track and document current state level legislation on the Online Resource Bank. 
  • Create research guides and best practice documents for student and teacher use. 
  • Coordinate and support virtual Civic Days events, the end-of-semester student showcase.
    Other Duties as assigned.
