About

Global Citizens Club will encourage high school students to become well-informed global citizens providing participants with the opportunity to:
  • Attend the first-ever Virtual Brown University Simulation of United Nations conference at Brown in the fall 
  • Explore and discuss solutions to different international, national, and local issues
  • Practice defending their opinions with peers and in-depth research. 
  • Get to know and be mentored by Brown University students!

Students will acquire tools to aid in research, professional writing, leadership, and public speaking that can be universally applied to their high school, college careers and potentially find their global passions while having lots of fun!

Volunteer Responsibilities

  • Be able to interact with students and help encourage them to ask questions about the material on global affairs and human rights.

  • Lead small group discussions on the week’s topics and also about questions in our world. 

  • Help proofread small speeches and papers written in English.
